i’m here to help you reduce anxiety, feel calmer, more confident and live a more easeful life.

My Approach

to your Healing

Naturopathy is a holistic approach to helping you feel amazing (not just not sick).

That means that I look at your entire symptom picture to figure out exactly what’s going on for you.

I understand your symptoms at a deeper level, and work towards getting to the bottom of the root cause of those symptoms.

This leads to incredible outcomes that help my clients feel better than they’ve felt in yeaaars.

My specific approach is all around helping your body feel safe enough to heal. I teach you how to take small steps, and be a non-perfectionist. All of this helps your body and mind heal (like it wants to).

In my clinic I’ll hold space for you to feel heard, you’re a whole wonderful individual and you deserve to be seen.

I’ll support you symptomatically while treating the underlying cause of those symptoms.
Eg. Give you acute anxiety support to reduce those symptoms while we work on your gut.

I am so excited to welcome you into a non-judgmental, supportive space.

Our appointments are confidential and you can feel safe in this space.

My clinic is a safe space for all genders, all ethnic backgrounds, all bodies, disabilities and identities.

who are you?

  • Are you someone who’s experienced anxiety their whole life? Or maybe it’s new and you’re feeling lost about what to do.

  • Maybe you’re confused about where it’s coming from (is it stress, your period, your gut or something else?)

  • Do you just KNOW that there is a more authentic, joyful version of you under the anxiety? Are you ready to meet her and see what she’s like?

  • If you’re someone who’s ready for more ease in their life, I’d love to help you get there. If a peaceful mind sounds absolutely MAGICAL to you, lemme tell you that it’s possible, and I think you should book yourself in so we can get started.

  • You deserve to feel really really good again.

  • I love treating anxiety. Because of my personal and clinical experience, I get to see every day how much this symptom can improve.

  • Hormonal issues and unwanted period symptoms

Hey - I’m Kita (she/her),
I'm a qualified practitioner with a Bachelor of  Health Science,
majoring in Naturopathy.

I spend a lot of my time with my pups Tilly and Rue; we love going on long walks and watching movies together. I live on land on beautiful Gubbi Gubbi Country. I love getting creative, and spending time with my family and friends, as well as my hilarious husband. I love cooking, drinking coffee, reading, and being near large bodies of water.

I spent about half of my life feeling anxious af, and now my baseline is chill, and I know exactly what to do if anxiety does pop up. I have so much more space in my brain, I’m confident, I rarely spiral, and anxiety symptoms are rare for me, instead of daily. So, know that I’ve been there, and I get it.

I'm pretty excited to get to know you.
- book in now to get started.

Why I’m so passionate about anxiety

When I was 14, I remember thinking ‘I don’t want to have anxiety’. I saw it in my mum, I knew how much it sucked, and I very much had a belief that once you had anxiety, you were stuck with it. Which, in a sense is true in the way that anxiety can be an emotion that needs to move through us like all other emotions. But I just KNEW that if I was diagnosed with an anxiety disorder, that was it. I definitely felt a lot of anxiety, and people pleasing, but I didn’t realise what it was back then cause I fit the bill of a ‘good girl’ so I never really questioned how I felt.

Fast forward to my mid 20s, after partying my way through the first half of them, and I’m in uni - a really full on health science degree, plus all the usual people pleasing and full time work that came along side it for me.

During this time, I lost two very incredible people, in deeply traumatic ways, which was the downward spiral to the deeply anxious puddle that I became (understandably).

I didn’t yet understand grief and pushed through with uni.

3.

I remember my friend and Naturopath reaching out and offering to help. And it was like an actual light bulb went on in my brain - why didn’t I think about that? I was so busy looking after everyone else in my career and at home, because I thought that that’s what they needed to move through their grief, that I forgot I could ask for help too.

We worked together so that I could slowly start to heal.

My amazing Naturopath held my fragile little hand, took me through testing, herbs and supplements, as well as really gentle shifts in my life so that I could feel better.

We treated my under active thyroid (that was causing the hair loss), my gut, we worked on increasing my food intake, we calmed the HECK out of my nervous system by replenishing so many of my lost nutrients, and leaning on herbs for that extra support.

Since then, I’ve continued on my healing journey through really leaning into rest, practising a slower life, going to therapies that work for ME, and always and forever learning how to nourish my body with food, without getting obsessive or burnt out over it (we’re actually getting there though).

2.

After finishing uni, the grief and trauma found me; I was a little shell of a human, I was reactive, avoidant, I loved to over explain and spiral after reacting. I was socially anxious as heck, I left my band that I loved.

I truly felt like my brain was a dark hole that I just now existed in - my stomach ALWAYS full of butterflies (when they finally left I couldn’t remember the last time I’d felt that calm in my stomach).

My physical body was also going through it, I lost 2/3rds of my hair, I had gut problems, I couldn’t sleep, I had eczema, I didn’t want to cook anything and didn’t have the brain space to decide on any meals.

4.

Now, I’ve got all of my hair back, my resilience is better than ever, I confidently show up in group settings without just exploding in the middle of them. I have so much more brain space for my food journey, I’m learning to break the all or nothing mentality that many of us have. I experience anxiety rarely, and when it comes up I have a bad ass, effective toolkit that I know how to use.

I’m also no longer scared of sitting with it and letting it exist and pass through me (cause it’s not big and terrifying anymore).

I wish that I had asked for help earlier. Nothing in the world can speed up or change grief, but that’s not the point. I wish I’d asked for help so that I could have been held through my grief and moved through it without punishing my beautiful body so hard.

I wish that I had the knowledge on anxiety that I have now - I wish I knew that my people pleasing was hurting me, not helping me. I’m so grateful that I’ve been able to work through so much of that and stop sacrificing myself for the people I love (cause they don’t want that either).

Now, I’ve taken everything I’ve learnt, paired it with my degree, and my years of clinical experience, helping people just like you to feel calm, in control and resilient.
I’ve put all of this into time, love and experience into my programs
and I cannot wait to support you in your journey.

I want you to ask for help, I want to support you through your anxiety. I want to be a safe space for you to learn, grow, and live without anxiety.

Whether it’s driven by grief, thyroid driven, gut,
nervous system or nutrient deficiency.

I don’t want you to wait years to have the relief that is possible from minimal or no anxiety. I want you to be able to confidently show up as your most authentic, joyful self, and I want you to have a toolbox that you can rely on.

This is how I get my clients quick anxiety relief while working on solutions that give them that long term anxiety relief:

Phase 1:
Soothe The Nervous System
& Create Safety.

This is where I support you in building the foundations required to reach a baseline safety in your body.

This can be done through acute support to bring down your anxiety symptoms, but often also includes helping you build habits that lead to long term safety, like eating enough, sleeping well, and looking after yourself - for some people this is the root cause of anxiety and it's really important to make sure this foundation is solid (this supports things like your circadian rhythm, hormones, and gut). This phase is really important for you if you struggle to bring down acute anxiety in the moment and often feel out of control.

It’s also important that these foundations be laid first as deeper healing cannot take place if the body is in a constant state of heightened anxiety.

Phase 2:
Deeper Root Cause Healing

This is where we look into treating your root causes at a deeper level, where we come in and do repair work on things like your hormones, thyroid, gut and nervous system through specific herbs and nutrients.

This is the kind of work where once repaired, you will start to feel in control of your emotional state again as there won’t be these underlying issues triggering anxiety outside of your control.

Phase 3:
Mindset and Rewiring

In this area of treatment, we focus on bringing in herbal medicine to help you create safety around some of the situations in life that you know trigger your anxiety. Using herbs like Passionflower to help you rewire your anxious brain in those acute anxiety moments, you can start to show your body that this situation isn't so scary, and that you are safe. This makes it easier to do the hard thing each time. In this area we also do lots of mindset work and I help set you up for long term anxiety relief.

These phases can happen one at a time, or overlap - depending on each individual
